In light of the recent events, Representative Trey Radel's arrest for purchasing cocaine from an under cover cop is one example that comes to mind, we petition the governemnt to require mandatory drug testing for those tasked with lawmaking (i.e. Congress).
The Partnership at Drugfree.org estimated that 84 percent of employers in America drug-test their employees. Corporate officers at all major corporations are drug-tested. Members of congress should be held to that same standard and undergo periodic testing.
