As employees, we are required to prove our ability to function on the job and this often requires drug testing to maintain or gain employment.
Far too often, our tax dollars are being used to fund the drug habits of so many people. There are people who use the system appropriately, and this will not endanger their benefits at all.
The money needed to fund the testing would be returned by not paying out benefits for those people who are abusing the system as an easy way out and using government money to fund their drug addiction. We would be able to save the government money by refusing to pay benefits to those people taking advantage of the system for their own greed. Perhaps we could even increase the amount given to people who actually need the services and are barely making it.
