require drug testing/screening for everybody who receives any form of welfare.

In order for democracy to survive, social programs must exist in order to help our less fortunate. Unfortunately, there are many living here who take advantage of this every day. There is no real solution that will stop all abuse of these programs, short of cutting them altogether. Since this is not an option, we ask that you at least require citizens receiving any form of welfare to be required to prove that they are drug-free. Mandatory drug testing would assist in making sure we are helping those among us that need and deserve it, not those too lazy to contribute to society. Those who abuse these programs are a leech on our government, and we are better off without them.
