Require drug tests for welfare recipients as they are required for the workers that are taxed to pay for these programs

Hard working Americans pay their taxes to fund welfare programs. If they must take drug tests then the welfare recipient should. Entitlement programs are SS and Veteran benefits. They are earned and not a life goal to receive while not contributing to society. Welfare is out of control and not abused by all but a high percentage. If they are having more children to up the amount received then it's time for some serious reform. Start by drug testing then require job search recertification every 6 months with a maximum time period to receive benefits then stop. We have all seen 1 too many recipients pay for their beer and cigarettes with benefit card then hop in a Cadillac and take off. Chances are if they are smoking we are also paying for their health care. Maybe we save some $ there too.
