Require on-duty law enforcement officers wear an audio and visual recording device to verify their official statements.

Doing even a cursory Google news search on "police brutality" will yield a depressing number of recent results. The most tragic part of it all is that even in cases where we were lucky enough to have a video of the incident, most of the time by a bystander, there are still crucial details, such as lack of audio or out of frame action, missing that would clear up any ambiguity about the incident. Requiring all on-duty law enforcement officers to wear an audio and visual recording device would go a long way towards seeing proper justice enforced. It would also help cut back on dishonesty if it was required to have an official recording in order to verify an officer's statement during conviction. Rodney King should have shown the nation that we can't rely on officers' words for the truth.
