The Constitution gives three eligibility requirements to be president : "...one must be 35 years of age, a resident within the United States for 14 years, and a natural born Citizen..."
Knowledge is power.
Therefore, it makes sense that anyone seeking the office of highest power in our country should possess the knowledge required to enable him or her to govern with confidence and skill.
Citizens who aspire to carry the U.S. mail must pass a civil service test. We all must pass a test to drive a car, a truck, become a contractor, a lawyer, a doctor, etc.
It is time we raise the requirements to run for the office of President of these United States of America.
Require each presidential candidate to pass a civil service test and/or citizenship test.
