Women make up 51% of this nation. Why, then, do they only fill 17% of our political positions? With all the recent political concerns involving women, I feel it is entirely improper to put the interests of women in the hands of a government that is largely male.
I propose that one senator of each state should be required to be female, and the other senator male. This will accurately represent our gender ratio, and start us on the right track towards the proper representation of women in the United States government.
