Through the process of election and selection to a seat in the House of Representatives or Senate and president comes with it a certain public seal of access to information of a sensitive nature. There are no written rules, All Members of Congress have access to intelligence by virtue of their elected positions. There should be clear requirements for all public elected officials Submit to the same investigation and Clearance requirements as Average Federal Employees.
