President Obama recently met with Senate Democrats, and got personally get involved to sort out the confusion regarding subsidies to elected officials and their staffs under the Affordable Care Act. Guidelines, released shortly thereafter, allow for members and staff to retain their health care subsidies from the Government.
This amounts to elected officials being treated both separately and not equally under the law, which is unconstitutional.
These lawmakers who seek separate and unequal treatment under the Affordable Care Act should be subject to the law in the same manner as all American Citizens. They enacted the law, so like all Americans, they must abide by it as written.
