We the people work hard for our money, but in this day and age our hard work is being valued less and less. By law employers must pay time and a half for all hours worked over 40 in a 7 day week. Now that's all well and good, but is it really what our extra time is worth? Anybody that has worked overtime will tell you that once you're past that 40 hour mark, every step you take, every word you type, every tire you change, every burger you flip is more exhausting. It feels like we're making double the effort, so it only makes sense that we should get double the pay. Now employers are already used to the current way so paying 50% more to us shouldn't hurt them, but that 50% more will mean the world to the many people struggling to make ends meet. Lets gets what we've earned.
