Employers routinely refuse to provide any sort of employment verification for past and present employees. This refusal can prevent such people from obtaining credit, housing (including mortgages), and other potentially better jobs. We, as Americans, have a basic human right to pursue housing and employment, and we must have a right to compel disclosure about this information to support those basic rights. The individual right of the human being must trump whatever right(s) a company may claim to this information.
We petition Congress and the Obama administration to bring about such compulsory disclosure in the workplace.
