require employers to use full-time workers whenever possible instead of multiple part-time workers.

Created by J.B. on November 24, 2012

Millions of Americans are prevented from becoming full-time employees, because it is cheaper for their employers to hire multiple part-time employees to do the same work.

New labor rules or legislation could require employers to, whenever feasible, hire full-time workers instead of multiple part-time workers. This would:
- Lift millions of working families out of poverty
- Give full-time workers more predictable schedules
- Make it easier for people to obtain a 2nd job
- Reduce the need for people to hold multiple part-time jobs
- Still give employers the flexibility to hire part-time workers to fill the gaps left by full-time workers or meet fluctuating demand

Please support the millions of Americans who sorely need full-time hours and sign this petition.
