It is frustrating when unemployed and job seeking to only be able to apply online, and often blindly with no response. Even more so, when applying to a company automatically enrolls you in an unwanted e-mail list.
I propose requiring employers who use internet based application processes to be required to respond if you are NOT selected, and for what reason. It would help the job seeker gain clarity as to what steps they need to take to gain greater employability. In instances of ID theft, this would be a boon, as many people who are victims have no idea.
Further more, applying for work should not automatically enroll you in unwanted e-mailing lists. It gets discouraging seeing e-mails from a company you applied to, only to discover they're sending you ads and coupons.
