The EPA has issued notices of violations to Volkswagen regarding various diesel vehicles. The EPA claims that "...during normal operation, emit nitrogen oxides, or NOx, at up to 40 times the standard.", though actual emission standard figures have not been made readily available by the EPA.
We demand that the EPA provide transparency on the issue including the standards that were required and the actual amounts found to be present to develop a full understanding of the issue and to allow comparison of other emissions from various industries.
