Oil companies are profiting from the US economy. They are able to profit from natural resources from the Earth. These resources are not man made, they are not something the oil companies can go in and replenish. Once completely drained they are not returned.
So in theory they are profiting from destroying our planet. The oil companies which profit and sell oil/gas here in the US should pay $50,000 USD per $1 Million of profit. These funds would then be used to fund alternative energy cars and solar panels and different things which go against the destruction of our planet.
The money must go to a non profit organization not run by the government, as we all know money going to the government will be lost in transit, specially when the oil companies get involved.
