This petition is asking for the governement to make it a law that people be required to spay/neuter their cats and/or dogs due to the high volume in the animal shelters. The majority of these animals that are abandoned are located in a kill shelter and only have 30 days to find a forever home or their euthanized. It is crucial to lower these numbers. Also with an increase in homeless animals can be a "breeding ground" for people to abuse these animals with fighting, starvation, neglect, and other forms of abuse.
