Require the FAA to conduct a Rulemaking on the Privacy Impact of Domestic Drone Use

We believe that the Federal Aviation Administration should conduct a rulemaking to address the threat to privacy and civil liberties that will result from the deployment of aerial drones within United States. Drones greatly increase the capacity for domestic surveillance and present a unique threat to privacy. The public should be given the opportunity to comment on this development. This petition was formerly submitted to the FAA by the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), joined by over 100 other organizations, experts, and individuals.
