On 10/28/16, FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress stating the FBI found new evidence that needed to be examined involving a concluded investigation concerning presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. This letter sent by the Director broke Department of Justice precedent of not revealing the details of an ongoing investigation and potentially interjected his own political leanings into an ongoing Presidential race.
On November 12, 2016, Hillary Clinton told supporters she believed the letter sent to Congress caused her to lose the election.
The timing of the letter by Director Comey, his political leanings, the changing of poll numbers from October 28 to election day, and the outcome of the election, require Comey resign and an investigation be conducted.
