Currently the FBI maintains a publicly accessible list of law enforcement officers that are either shot, shot and killed, or assaulted in the line of duty. The list is produced annually, and is called the LEOKA (Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted) List. The FBI should be required to do the same for citizens that are shot, shot & killed, or assaulted by law enforcement. Currently no such list is maintained, and law enforcement is not required to report such incidents to any Federal Oversight Agency.
