require the FCC to reinstate and enforce The Fairness Doctrine in major national news media.

Unit 1987, the FCC required the holders of broadcast licenses to both present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was, in the Commission's view, honest, equitable and balanced. The FCC eliminated the doctrine in 1987. Since that time, major media new outlets have developed their own agendas, and use their medium to shape public opinion by carefully selecting the news they report. Most of the major news outlets have become less interested in reporting news in an objective manner than they have in becoming activists for a political cause. Peruse any major media website, CNN for example, and you will find opinion reported as fact, extremist opinion without any counter opinion. It is time that the major media outlets report in fair and balanced manners.
