Require the FCC to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine to increase the diversity of viewpoints on the public airwaves and to discourage the monopolistic use of them to promote a single political view or single opinion on any issue, thus appearing to give greater validity and censor the free expression of other points of view. Almost all the broadcast media in the US is owned by one of seven corporations, posing a serious threat to the freedom of expression of political viewpoints, ideas and even factual news over the public airwaves. The Fairness Doctrine would ensure access to the public airwaves to everyone who requested it and prevent propagandistic control of thoughts and ideas to expand the rights of free speech to every member of the public.
