require the FCC to release spectrum 82-88MHz for analog use by PBS and emergency information stations.

Created by C.W. on January 30, 2014

Anyone that wants to learn, should be able to. I had mixed feelings about the change to digital television and the release of the analog spectrum to corporations because, for the first time since television's invention, a "social status" was required to have free readily available access to information: Having a new television capable of digital signals. This part made me cringe. I realized that children across America may no longer have access to educational programming via PBS (and no, buying a converter box or new tv is NOT an answer). I would like to request that the FCC restore a sliver of spectrum for the sole purpose of providing PBS and emergency broadcasts. Specifically 82-88 mHz which would allow for analog television station 6 and audio on most any radio around 87.7 FM
