require the FDA to allow the sale of irradiated food in order to curtail the spread of disease-causing bacteria

Created by J.K. on September 26, 2011

Irradiating food has long been proven an effective way to kill bacteria on food without and change to the quality, taste or nutrition. While some people are afraid of anything to do with radiation, their fears are keeping the majority from having a safer food supply that will have longer shelf lives. Irradiated food reduces food-borne illness and lasts longer in storage than non-irradiated food.
