require the FDA cease interference with 23andme.com and consumers voluntary desire and pursuit of DNA health results.

Created by R.S. on December 06, 2013

The FDA is forcing 23andme.com to stop providing health related indications for consumers who provide DNA samples and wish to obtain this information. This is NOT the FDA's purpose as this has nothing to do with Food or Drugs, is not invasive, is voluntary business between consumer and provider and is a valuable tool to allow consumers to start a dialogue with their medical professional which may not otherwise occur. FDA efforts would be better served and more in line with their charter going after vitamin and supplement industries than 23andme. The FDA's pressure on 23andme is violating fair trade and overstepping it's authority while creating distrust in the government and its interest in citizens DNA.
