No one employed by the FDA in any policy-making capacity nor his/her spouse should have ties to any agricultural chemical companies, to include previous employment, stock ownership, patents or any other contractual agreements.
The FDA is the oldest consumer protection agency in the US federal government; yet we believe they no longer provide the basic elements of protection. The mission of the agency - public health - has changed with the advances made by science and technology. Decisions made by the FDA no longer reflect the public interests, but rather are rendered to favor certain financial interests. FDA policymakers now hold responsibility for making decisions which directly and indirectly impact the financial statements of current and former business associates and companies.
