Require FDA-style nutritional, ingredient, and allergy labeling of alcoholic beverages.

Created by B.S. on April 24, 2013

Alcoholic beverage labeling is currently controlled by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. As such, the consumer is given no nutritional information about the food they are consuming as done by the FDA.

Legal consumers are not given proper information about caloric content, carbs, or other nutritional information about what they are putting in their body.
Also, consumers who are allergic to gluten, nuts, soy, etc are not given proper notice when alcoholic beverages containing these ingredients.

Thus, they are thus unable to make a decision at the time of purchase to select a product which better meets their personal health requirements.

Lets put this simple information in the hands of consumers to reduce our country's healthcare costs, obesity rate, and allergy hazards.
