Eric Garner died from a chokehold by an NYPD officer. The incident was caught on video and widely circulated. A grand jury decided not to indict the officer on criminal charges. Upon the results of the grand jury proceedings, the department of justice announced an investigation into Eric Garner's death. We petition you to require that the federal investigation be completed within 3 months, or by approximately 3/3/2015. We believe that is a very reasonable timeframe and will help restore faith in our justice system.
