A common sense request in the interest of transparency and accountability. Historically, candidates have done this voluntarily, but with a major party's nominee now refusing, the people are left wondering what is being hidden and why? I propose that candidates for public office should be prepared to release their tax returns; specifically from the number of years prior, equal to term lengths (i.e. 4 years of returns for a 4 year office such as the presidency).
