We feel that in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook shooting as well as other senseless attacks on our children in a place where they shouldn't be threatened or need to worry about their safety; that all school staff would be better equipped to protect if they had means to. If school staff were put through a firearms training session and were to carry a gun they would be in a much better position to defend the children that they are entrusted to care for. We believe that if school staff were armed these shooters would be either completely deterred or worst case stopped before this pointless slaughter could occur.
Gun regulations and bans will only make our children and educators easier targets. Criminals are not criminals because they obey the law. We need to protect our future.
