Artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, Neotame, and others are controversial. While these products have been used in food and drink for over three decades, little research has been done on the long term health effects that they have within the human body and much of the independent research that has been done seems to indicate there may be serious concerns.
Some artificial sweetner companies do not wish to list their products on food labels. The FDA has even agreed that not all artificial sweetners must be listed on product labels and this presents a problem. We have a right to know what we are putting in our body.
We request the FDA change this rule and compel all food and beverage producers to accurately and honestly list on the label any artificial sweeteners contain in their products
