require food products that contain genetically modified organisms (GMO's) to be labeled so that we decide what we ingest

The American people are not guinea pigs or lab rats. We should not be forced to take part in an unknown experiment that captures the long term effects of GMO's. We have a right to know and make informed decisions that will not only affect us, but our families and children especially; the leaders of tomorrow. If GMO's are safe, why are they not labeled? Manipulating the food that We The People consume, and not making us aware of what is happening is absolutely heinous. The needs of the corporations that produce these products are in direct conflict with the needs of the people. GMO production is putting small town farmers out of business as well. We need to support these types of hard working American's. It is time to put the needs of INNOCENT & HARD WORKING people as top priority.
