Require foods processed in China to pass USDA inspection and be labelled with their point of origin.

Created by A.C. on September 05, 2013

On August 30, 2013, USDA ended a ban on Chinese chicken imports and approved Chinese poultry processors to import chicken nuggets into the US. These food products will neither be required to have point of origin labeling or USDA inspection of the processing operation.

China has long been notorious for substandard food safety procedures. On imported dog food products alone, Chinese food products have caused over 500 pet deaths between 2007 and 2012.

We demand that the USDA take ownership of the safety of the foods placed in front of the American people and provide us with the location of its manufacture. We demand that the safety of our food supply not be leveraged in a trade quid pro quo that allows domestic food processors access to China. We demand transparency and safety.
