Require fracking chemicals to include fluoride.

Created by R.M. on January 15, 2014

Studies have shown that many of the chemicals used in the hydraulic fracturing (aka "fracking) process for extracting natural gas show up in local municipal water supplies. Other studies have shown that adding fluoride to municipal water supplies has beneficial effects on the dental health of local residents. If fracking companies included fluoride in their blends, that could benefit local communities by freeing up the money and resources they currently spend adding fluoride to their water supply. In places where the community doesn't currently fluoridate their water, it would have the same beneficial effects of municipal fluoridation without having to convince a local government of the established science. Everyone wins!
