Require full price and markup disclosure by doctors and hospitals

Created by P.B. on April 15, 2013

The United States spends more per citizen on health care than any other developed nation, and citizens spend more on their own health care than anywhere else on Earth, and yet people still go bankrupt with little better life expectancy and quality of life. Part of the reason is that hospitals and doctors are not required to disclose prices and markup for supplies and procedures, so patients are essentially at their mercy. Full disclosure should be mandatory: no hidden fees, and no exceptions.
