The 3800 Series V6 from General Motors was a world class powerplant with far more potential for expansion and development than the corporation ultimately decided to give it. General Motors is now producing inferior motors in a vain attempt to be seen as 'forward thinking' and 'progressive' when in reality they are only denying the 3800 faithful the chance to look forward to a direct-injected, 300+ horsepower 3800 Series IV. We request that the Obama administration do everything in its power to encourage GM to resume production of this engine, up to and including stopping federal subsidies of any kind to the General Motors Corporation until such time as they see the light and begin accelerated research and development concerning this clearly intelligent and longed for path to success.
