require GMO farmers to create buffers from all non-GMO agricultural lands, to end contamination by pollen or seed.

Created by J.B. on February 17, 2012

Buffers (600ft. recommended by NOFA-NY) should be on GMO land, the responsibility of GMO farm operators. And seed companies should be required to label GMO seed bags with clear WARNINGS about GMO farmer liability for any drift - GMO pollen, GMO seed AND GMO Herbicide Resistant weeds - and the obligation to create appropriate buffers along any abutting non-GMO parcels. Suits against non-GMO farmers, by GMO seed companies, frivolous at best, do buy time for GMO market expansion, creating millions more buffer-less acres, with no regard for financial and other damages, present or future. (NOTE: GMO food labeling initiatives, essential for consumers, need to label GMO ingredients in animal feeds as well, AND meat products grown from GMO feeds.)
