Please pass a law that requires Congress, government officials and workers to obey the laws they pass existing and future without exempting themselves.
Congress, government officials and workers should have to obey the laws that they require the people to obey. This petition has been created to address the inequity of enforcement of the law.
No person in an official capacity, elected, appointed or hired should be in a position to pass or enforce laws that they exempt themselves from.
The hope is that laws passed in future will be worded more carefully and be thoroughly thought out if persons in a position to impose them on the rest of us must themselves be subject to the laws they pass.
