Require the government to supply funds for elections and limit lobbyists to funding for legislation.

Created by A.S. on January 19, 2013

Separating Government and Lobbyists from one another to reduce the likelihood of special interests controlling the direction of politics. By requiring the government to provide and approve election expenses and create a budget for how extensive this funding is the U.S. can limit the influence of lobbyists in elections freeing politicians to pursue political paths that will not force compromise with their personal economic and social views that would allow powerful businesses excessive tax breaks and lax regulation. Lobbyist can remain politically active by being allowed to fund legislation through donations rather than election campaigns.
