Require GPS sensors on all firearms as part of gun control legislation.

Created by H.W. on January 23, 2013

1. Ban carrying of firearms outside the home by ordinary citizens, by placing GPS sensors in all firearms sold. If the firearm is removed beyond a specified distance from the home an alert should be sent to the local authorities. This step will serve several purposes. Using GPS technology to pinpoint the exact location will prohibit a criminal, the mentally-ill, or any unauthorized user from removing the gun from the residence of the lawful owner thus making it less likely the gun will be used in a public place, school, mall etc. against civilians.
2. For firearms currently in circulation give owners the incentive to destroy or turn the guns in to authorities offering rebates to upgrade to GPS guns.
3. For hunters, allow onsite gun rental.
4. Limit ownership to two firearms per home.
