All prepackaged foods are currently required to have nutritional information labels, but what about unpackaged foods? Many grocery stores and supermarkets contain bakeries, salad bars, food bars, and delis. They are not required to label their food with nutritional information. This is not fair. We are petitioning the President to require these grocery stores and supermarkets to provide the same nutritional information that prepackaged food companies have to put on their products. The purpose of this proposed regulation is to help Americans to be more conscious in their decisions and eat healthier. With the nutritional information the people will be able to choose the foods with fewer calories and fat, and regulate their intake.
