Electronic tracking devices, such as RFIDs, should be imbedded in all guns so that a gun can be readily detected and identified upon entering a "safety zone." Sensors can be placed at all "safety zones" such as schools, airports, stadiums, or anywhere guns are prohibited. If a safety zone sensor detects a gun, the authorities would be alerted as to the location of the gun and its registration information. This is a simple, low-cost solution that will help protect the public.
