The Priviledge in the name of the 2nd Amendment to own a deadly weapon should require the owner to be accountable for consequences created when used, not properly secured, or allowed to fall into the hands of unstable, criminal, or evil individuals.
One method that should be studied & enacted is the Requirement of All Owners of Guns or other Weaponry Capable of Inflicting High Casualties to Carry a Suitable Liability Insurance Policy that Will Cover the Death, Injury & Losses that May Occur.
As it is virtually universal for Automobile Drivers to be Insured, we feel that it is prudent to require those who own & may use a high-impact weapon, such as an assault rifle to be responsible by carrying Insurance which can cover the cost of multiple deaths, injuries & dollar losse
