Liability insurance for gun owners would compensate victims of accidental & deliberate shootings. The investigative arm of the government has plenty of studies showing that one is more likely to be a victim of gun violence if guns are kept in home, & much less by outsiders. Gun lobbying has successfully shut down this area of study. Guns are lethal weapons. There should be financial accountability for the damage they cause, just like the requirement for all car owners to carry liability insurance.
