require gun owners to join local civilian-operated militias while also not restricting the types of weapons they own.

Being that the 2nd Amendment was designed with the precepts of a non-militarized civilian-organized capability to respond to threats on multiple levels and being that such fellowes joined in common cause would support one anothers' moral, ethical, and social standings, we, the undersigned, strongly urge the Obama administration to draft a bill requiring US citizens to join locally operated civilian militias if they should require of themselves the ownership of firearms of a nature more deadly than that required for hunting while simultaneously removing restrictions on the types of such weapons given that they do not greatly exceed the level of lethality of weapons used by the US military.
