Require Gun Safety and Shooting Classes to citizens applying for Handgun Carry Permits

Created by D.T. on December 30, 2012

When applying for a permit to carry a sidearm, in many states it is not required that any education or safety classes be taken by the pursuer. Mental health and background checks are already in effect.
While most people who apply for their permit are well educated gun owning individuals, there are those who have no understanding of the way a trigger and gun safety, and gun safe work. Many also do not know how to shoot in an emergency and under high amounts of stress.
Guns themselves do not kill people, uneducated and untrained people with guns do.
Push to require that every state have a Firearm Safety and Shooting course required to receive their permit to carry to help eliminate firearm accidents and help educate those who wish to protect their families, property and themselves.
