In light of privacy concerns and general potential security breaches computer hardware manufacturers should be required to put switches on devices that physically disable the peripherals and sensors including but not limited to: cameras, GPS, microphones, accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, proximity sensors, light sensors, compasses, wireless transceivers for cell networks, barometers, and any other sensor that allows the state of the phone to be read or stored for delayed transmission to external sources.
