The health care industry has ballooned into a fragmented industry that is sub-contracted to the point where it is impossible to understand what the customer is being billed for. This has no benefit to the American public, where a hospital stay or emergency room visit can result in multiple bills arriving as late as 6 months from the time of service, and knowing the total cost of service prior to or during the stay is next to impossible.
We hereby petition that laws are created enforcing the health care provider to be able to furnish an estimated or average cost for services rendered prior to services rendered, and provide a single bill encompassing all contracted and sub-contracted services and materials within a reasonable time after services have been rendered for each individual visit
