Currently, to obtain the right to vote, US citizens must be 18 years of age. By creating a law that requires a minimal education to obtain the right to vote, all voters would have at least a baseline education instilling educational votes, greater understanding of government policy, and help create a more educated population. Because most high school graduates are 18 upon graduation day, the right to vote would still be available around the same age. For those who never graduate high school, if they can prove their intelligence is equivalent to that of an average high school graduate (through a baseline test) they will also obtain the right to vote.
