Require High School Students to take Physical Education for Four Years

Created by O.T. on February 20, 2013

In many high schools students are only required to take a minimum of two years of physical education. Since 1980 the obesity rate in American children has tripled in size. Yet, schools are allowing students to take less physical education classes in high school so they can take more educational classes. Students should have to take a physical education course every year of their high school career so they will be required to exercise a couple times a week. Without gym, most kids get no exercise and this is the way to make them do it continually and to lower the obesity rate.
