require House members pass a test of basic science knowledge before sitting on House Science, Space and Tech Committee

Created by J.F. on September 23, 2014

So that they may be capable of understanding the issues they are charged to review, Members of the House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space, and Technology must demonstrate that they possess a basic knowledge of scientific method, a general understanding of research methodology, the difference between science and pseudoscience, and a willingness to respect the nature of scientific inquiry rather than a hostility toward it. Test the comprehension of members of other committees on the subject matter germane to their positions as well.
